Subject:eating poo

i have a 4mth old choc lab male, i also have a 3yr old boxweiller..mayb you are not feedin enough..my 4mth old has 4 meals a day..and chews etc..he is also walked twice a day..the labs are very greedy dogs...i feed him on pedigree chum dry chicken and rice food, its gone in seconds lol..my breeder told me he was on bakers complete...he kept getting loose stools all the time...we tried several diff ones..but the pedgiree chum ones we now have solid motions lol...anyway some time ago when my boxweiller was a pup i also had a rottie pup, he also ate his own and my boxweillers poo..i think he came from a puppy farm, he had scars on his nose where he had to fight for food..once he got used to proper meals and didnt have to fight for his food..he stopped doin it...sadly he also had a heart condition and had to be put to sleep at 4mths old..but also the poo eating is usually cos of poor feeding conditions and having to fight for food when they can get it..or he may have lots of worms...hope this helps...ann

Subject:Pups eating own poo

We have 2 choc labs and one of them at about the same age as your Max kept eating the other ones poo (as he was doing it!!) We found distracting them when they go to do it has helped and they don't do it anymore(took a little while). There is a very long name for it and they call it a condition, so I thought it would be something he always did, but he has stopped doing it now

try putting a little bit of pineapple in the food - i know it sounds really odd but it does work apparently there is something in pineapple that when it comes out the other end they dont want to eat it
worth a try?
