Subject:Grey Hairs

Hi, we have a 20 month chocolate girl and she has a few grey hairs here and there. We find they sometimes fall out but will then appear again. She has had these since 3 months, but they have not spread. just adds to her lovely character.

Subject:Grey Hairs

Hi.

I have a 2 year old female choc lab and she also had a thick grey patch of hair at around the same age as your dog but it has now gone. She does have the odd white hair here and there now though. She is also a full pedigree and I understand your concerns, as I had the same worries over my dog. I researched this topic on the internet and it seems that choc labs used to have a white patch on the breastbone which has obviously been bred out over the years but I presume that the white hair gene is still present and causes the odd strand to appear. One of the pups in my dogs' litter had a white patch as did her mum, so I guess that's why my dog has a few too.
Hope that has helped you abit!!!

Kind regards,

Crystal.
